Jimmy Johnston
Jimmy Johnston
United States Marine Corps Veteran

Jimmy Johnston – United States Marine Corps veteran deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. When I returned home for good I felt like I left something behind in the Corps. An old veteran once told me when we leave the service we leave thinking one of two things- that you gave to much, or you did not give enough. After personally fighting and battling the VA for proper care and seeing what is going on in America with over 22 veterans a day taking their own lives I knew that this was my chance to give back to those who have already given so much. So I joined one of the nations largest organizations that advocates for veterans and the use of medical Cannabis. Our mission at Weed for Warriors Project is to help veterans find healing through Cannabis, fellowship and community based projects. We are taking action to stop the 22+ veteran suicides that happen each and every day.

Bonita “Bo” Money
Bonita “Bo” Money
Founder, Women Abuv Ground

A cannapreneur, Bonita “Bo” Money is one of the few women of color in the emerging, billion dollar cannabis business. She’s the co-creator of That Glass Jar ™ , a cannabis-infused topical, and founder of  Women Abuv Ground, a networking organization, dedicated to introducing the cannabis business to  women of color. As a 25-year veteran of the entertainment business, her current projects include producing segments for ESPN’s “30 for 30” sport documentaries as well as a scripted television series, called “The Chronic,” which documents her inner working with mega rappers Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg within the walls of record label Death Row.

Despite the glitz and glamour of the entertainment business, Money became interested in the cannabis industry, especially as the legalization of medical marijuana was picking up steam in various states across the country. She wanted to be on the ground floor of a new frontier in alternative medicine – that is, a “woman in weed” on a Wall Street level.

Born in Seoul, Korea, and raised in Monterey, CA, Money began her research of the cannabis industry and became very interested in the healing properties of marijuana. As she traveled to cannabis-related social events and conventions, she eventually met Cheryl Shuman, dubbed the Queen of Cannabis and founder of the Beverly Hills Cannabis Club. Shulman became a mentor to Money, and taught her the ins and outs of the cannabis business. Unlike some cannapreneurs, Money decided to specialize in the use of cannabis for health and beauty reasons – that is, oils, topicals and creams — forgoing the cultivation route or running a medical marijuana dispensary.

In her kitchen, Money began extracting oils from marijuana, and sharing her concoctions with friends and family. Also, with a passion for cooking, she began infusing cannabis into her Korean dishes. Her experimentation prompted interest in producing cannabis-infused edibles and a coffee line. However, the illnesses of two close friends changed Money’s attention from edibles to the medicinal use of cannabis.

Ginger Mace
Ginger Mace
Founder, Pain Warrior Crew / Chronic Pain Patient Rights Advocate

Ginger Mace is the Founder of Pain Warrior Crew and a Chronic Pain Patient Rights Advocate. Pain Warrior Crew offers education on natural / alternative pain control methods and promotes access to effective, reasonable pharmaceutical relief when naturally-based treatments to do not provide sufficient pain relief or improvement in quality of life for fibromyalgia sufferers and other chronic pain warriors.

This education is customized for each audience, whether fellow patients, community leaders where a cannabis or botanical venture will be opening, veterans and active duty members of our armed services, corporate wellness officers, convention/conference attendees, or social media audiences. Ginger also employs her 20 years of marketing experience to help her business clients receive both increased exposure and positive media attention during her speaking and educational tours. Whether it is planning and executing events, meeting one-on-one with medical professionals or civic leaders to gain their confidence and support, providing original content, giving interviews, or assisting with branding, Ginger makes sure there isn’t a moment wasted during her visit.

Ginger calls herself a “professional patient”, having experienced fibromyalgia symptoms as early as 1985, as well as the years upon years of frustration trying to find the best treatments for her as an individual. Before founding Pain Warrior Crew, Ginger worked for over 10 years with other patients like herself on a volunteer basis, sharing her knowledge with them and learning a great deal along the way.

Her passion for both helping other fibromyalgia sufferers and chronic pain warriors find relief, and for sharing knowledge on alternative pain control methods, led her to create Pain Warrior Crew, and to speaking engagements and teaching classes nationwide.

Due to changes in access to pain control pharmaceuticals starting in March 2016, Ginger began helping fibro and pain warriors who were (without regard to comfort, safety, or common sense) either abruptly taken off of those medications, or their doses cut drastically, She made it her mission to relieve as much of this cruel and unnecessary misery as she could, by sharing her knowledge of botanicals and her successes with more naturally-based treatments.

“Access to natural and effective medications like cannabis has never been more important than it is right now. I’m deeply concerned that with no relief from their doctors, cannabis being illegal in over half this country, and threats to ban botanicals like kratom, exponentially more patients in pain will give serious consideration to ending their lives. Some have chosen to do so already – a choice that was preferable to them than dealing with severe, intractable, unrelenting pain and no quality of life. To me, this is an absolutely unacceptable situation, considering we have botanicals and naturally-based options that we cannot freely use due to reasons that never made sense in the first place. We must help those we can with information, educational opportunities, and compassion.”

Michael Minardi, Esq
Michael Minardi, Esq
Chairman, RegulateFlorida.com

Michael C. Minardi has dedicated his practice to understanding medical cannabis laws in the state of Florida and throughout the country. He has successfully won many medical cannabis cases, including several landmark high profile cases in Florida. He has represented some well-known patients such as Cathy Jordan, Delbert Mullins, and Jeffrey Kennedy, who have had their cases dismissed based on their medical uses of cannabis.

Minardi also represents veterans, HIV patients, and patients with chronic pain disorders, depression, glaucoma, anxiety, fibromyalgia, and severe anorexia against cannabis charges. In March 2015, in the very first jury trial in Florida of a medical marijuana patient, Michael successfully defended Jesse Teplicki who had been charged with cultivation and possession of 46 plants. Michael was able to prove that Teplicki’s use of cannabis was medicinal and necessary. This was an historic and important acquittal.

Karen Goldstein
Karen Goldstein
Vice Chair, RegulateFlorida.com

Growing up in a close-knit family in Brooklyn, NY, with family vacations and holidays celebrated with cousins, aunts and uncles, and other assorted relatives, there was little or no opportunity for exposure to illegal drugs of any kind. Not until she went away to college at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, was Karen Seeb Goldstein introduced to marijuana.

It was the 1960s and marijuana was increasingly a part of the college experience. There was no organized activism to try to reform marijuana law, and law enforcement was not aggressively enforcing it, at least not on most college campuses.

After graduating with a degree in Education, and a few years of teaching, Karen and her husband decided to start a family. Marijuana was not a big part of her life at that point, and family life once again became her focus. Once Karen’s children were grown and her time was again her own, activism became part of her natural evolution. Karen actively campaigned during the last 4 Presidential elections, and in 2008 she renewed her interest in reforming the laws governing marijuana use. In 2009, along with a cousin and a group of friends, Karen formed a chapter of NORML. At that time, it was NORML of South Florida, as there was already a state chapter, and in 2010 they assumed role of the state chapter, becoming NORML of Florida.

As Executive Director, Karen has spoken to students at the University of Miami, University of South Florida, University of Central Florida, the Miami-Dade and Broward County Legislative Delegations, various political clubs including the League of Women Voters, at City and County Commission meetings and at seminars. Karen has organized panels to discuss and educate regarding the benefits of cannabis. She has participated in lobbying efforts both in Washington, DC, and Tallahassee.

Karen is often contacted by Florida’s victims of the failed War on Drugs who need legal representation. She hears stories that are heart-breaking and will continue to pursue reform of the marijuana laws in Florida for as long as the need exists.

him a supporting role in a successful off Broadway play while still in high school. The same skill led to
Robert becoming one of America’s most famous pitchmen. The late Billy Mays called him “A legend
in the pitch business”. Seen for years on TV, at fairs, and shows selling Vita Mix, frozen food knives,

distributor of Breyers ice cream.

He moved back to Miami in 1975 to attend Law School. Miami in the 70’s was the center of the
Colombian pot trade. Robert turned his business acumen to the mission of smuggling Colombian pot.
Attorney general Griffin Bell named Robert’s organization the Black Tuna Gang and alleged they were
responsible for most of the marijuana crossing the Florida coast. In 1979, a year after quiting the
smuggling business, he was indicted, convicted and sentenced to 64 years in federal prison. He was
released in late 2008 after serving almost 30 years in eleven different prisons.

Robert lives in Florida with his wife Lynne. He works for Medical Marijuana, collecting signatures for
a Florida ballot initiative sponsored by PUFMM and NORML. He has appeared at Universities,
Concerts, benefits, Expos and in the media to promote the cause, tell his story, and sign copies of his
autobiography, Black Tuna Diaries. His story was featured in three

A digital entrepreneur and innovator, Robert Sirianni founded Weedable to take the growing field of cannabis commerce to a higher level – introducing the first e-commerce site of its kind for those engaged in the legalized and medical marijuana industries. Weedable is founded on the principle of challenging convention, so we invite all our users to do the same.

A Pittsburgh native with a steel heart, Sirianni is driven by his hometown’s spirit of revolution, hard work, and evenhandedness, plus his beliefs in innovation, fair pricing and the free market.

Seeing that the existing online cannabis platforms were nothing more than directories to local dispensaries, Sirianni created a comprehensive platform – one that merged directory and dialogue – to allow sellers and buyers to connect and share with other cannabis enthusiasts around the world.

Combining a robust store locator system for vendors of both THC and non-THC products with a vast social network of buyers and sellers, Sirianni envisions improved quality, stabilized pricing, and economic and social legitimacy for the entire industry.

Sirianni received his B.A. from Emory University, his MBA from Rollins College, his J.D. from the University of Denver, and his entrepreneurial instincts from the Steel City. Sirianni currently resides in Central Florida with his wife and three young boys.
